If you met me on a mural site, you’d probably peg me as a textbook extrovert. I’m energetic, highly talkative, and thrive on the grand staging of bringing a giant wall to life.

 

But the truth? I’m a classic New England middle child who requires immense amounts of quiet time to explore, reflect, and recharge. I was definitely a theater kid growing up, so while I love the quiet focus of the studio, I live for the drama of a bold image.

 

When I'm not creating, you can usually find me:

• traveling (I’ve eaten my way through 14 countries and 23 states!)

• Getting lost in a Taylor Jenkins Reid or Suzanne Collins book

• Hanging out with my husband Ryan (my high school sweetheart) and our dog, Nigel.

The Psychology of a Yellow Striped Room​

I’ve always had an inherently creative nature, drawn to the quiet, intense focus that art demands. Finding the patience for small, intricate details has always come naturally to me.

 

My obsession with color started early, growing up in a bedroom painted in alternating stripes of banana and sunshine yellow. That room sparked a lifelong fascination with color psychology. I believe we instinctively gravitate toward the colors our well-being requires:

• greens lower our anxiety

• specific blues calm our nervous systems

• pinks nurture us

• yellows and oranges infuse us with raw, dramatic creativity.

The Crossover: From Fashion to Scaffolding

This deep appreciation for color and structure led me to Massachusetts College of Art and Design, where I studied fashion design. To me, the crossover between fashion, theater production, and mural painting is entirely seamless. They all rely on the foundational interplay of color, texture, shape, dimension, and storytelling. More importantly, they are powerful vehicles for identity. Just as a costume or a piece of clothing expresses who you are, the walls you inhabit dictate your energy.

Today, my creative world is split into three distinct acts, all unified by a sharp Massachusetts sense of humor and a mission to make you smile on a hard day:

​

• Act I: Custom Murals (Claiming Your Space): I take the structural eye of a designer and scale it across the country, combining high-level technical grit with high-drama visual impact to transform blank commercial and residential walls into magnets for joy.

​

• Act II: Fine Art Originals (The Masks We Wear): In my studio, my paintings look colorful, a little funny, and delightfully bitchy (but never mean). They feature cloud motifs that symbolize dreaming and hope, but beneath the surface, they focus on the "masks" we wear. My work is for those of us who have always had to be "fine" because other people needed us to be. It’s about using humor to cope, and wearing positivity like a bright yellow jacket even when it would be easier to take it off.

• Act III: The Print Club (Art for Everyone): Because I believe that art shouldn't be a luxury hidden away from the world, I created my Print Club and the Lady in Yellow Collector's Club. It’s my way of making these deep, vibrant concepts accessible to everyone.
